My Other Family - {Tucson Family Photographer}

A visit from an out of town best friend and fellow photographer means one thing (well, on top of Starbucks dates and playdates)...mini-sessions! The lovely Julie of Julie Livermore Photography and I traded mini-sessions recently and tried to enjoy the mild Arizona winter before she and her boys went back to the bitter cold and snow of Wyoming.

Here are just a couple of her, her boys and her sister at one of our favorite locations. Of course I had to throw in one of her and my little guy...just love the expression on his face!

Project 52 | Week 2 - Tucson Photographer

The theme this week was "what defines you" without using people. As a HUGE pile of laundry was staring me down, I knew exactly what defined me in that moment...and in many moments every week. The laundry. I do laundry every week. Not just a load or two but LOADS of laundry every week. How is that possible? There's only 4 of us in this household and 2 are just babies. It is never-ending and I have a feeling this will be a huge part of my life for the next 18 years. Speaking of...better get back to folding clothes! :o)

A Cute Little Pair - Tucson Children Photographer

I've been meaning to share these two brothers for a while now! Both boys were super energetic and were so sweet - they told me how pretty I was and how nice my hair looked. I think they were my favorite clients so far! :o) I loved watching how they interacted with one another because I could see my own two boys act the same way down the road. Can't wait to see these two again! In the meantime, check out just a few of my faves!

Project 52 | Week 1 - Tucson Photographer

One of my goals for this new year was to participate in a Project 52...so when one of my favorite photographers decided to host one for this year, I immediately signed up. Our theme this week was "self-portraits." This one isn't a true selfie since I had my baby in it with me, but I don't care! I love this photo! I took it (via tripod) of us on Saturday morning...a typical weekend morning past time (not to mention one of my favorites)...me cuddling with my baby.

Best Face Photo of 2010 | I Heart Faces | Tucson Photographer

I have always wanted to enter an I Heart Faces contest...and with a new year ahead of me, I think it's just the time to start!

This week's challenge is to pick the "best face" of the past year, which was really hard for me since I've had the opportunity to photograph many adorable babies and children, and beautiful adults. However, I finally settled on this high school senior.

I love the lighting in this shot, and the colors, and of course, the senior herself is gorgeous! She is applying to colleges and she will be starting a whole new chapter in her life. I remember those days! :o)
