Back from a break!

It's been super cold this week but the weather finally warmed up this weekend! I am able to take my little guy to the park to enjoy some amazing winter weather! After being couped up for days, he wasn't ready to head home even after a couple hours in the sunshine.

A little peek!

This is just a sneak peek of a session I did this weekend...we decided to explore downtown and surprisingly, found some really nice, colorful spots! This young lady was a perfect model and I really had fun working with her!

Family Time!

This family was so great to "work" with! They happily let me boss them around last weekend and follow them around with my camera. :o) I had such a fun time - can't wait to do it again! Thanks guys!

Adorable!

This little girl was so adorable this morning! She had such a great time climbing up and down these stairs...luckily, she took a little break from her activity to look at my camera! I just love her big blue eyes!

Yay - my new lens!

I treated myself to a new lens recently (yay!) and immediately had to rush out to use it! Here are my willing subjects (one is especially happy to do this for me - can you tell?) - my hubby and son.

Exploring!

We went exploring today and found this cool railroad bridge! After all these years living just a few miles away, I had no idea this little area was even here. I am looking forward to more explorations and finding those little treasures I never knew existed!

Trick-or-Treat!

Though last night was my little one's first Halloween trick-or-treating, he actually had more fun running around the front yard collecting rocks for his pumpkin! He took a break (it was getting pretty heavy!) and decided to check out his treasures.

A beautiful desert sunset!

We love going to the nearby soccer field to play ball in the evenings. While my little one throws and chases his ball around the field, I love watching the sky turn colors as the sun sets. On this night, I caught the sky right before night fell. I love how there's just a hint of sunlight left in the purple sky...our desert sunsets are the best!

Fun in the park!

This little family was an active bunch and the kiddos were enjoying the gorgeous "fall" weather at the park! Who wants to sit for photos when there are rocks to climb and streams to jump over?

Ahhh...the beach!

We were in California this past weekend for a wedding and we were able to sneak away from the party for a bit to play in the sand. Even with the chilly weather, both my boys just loved being on the beach!

Playdate Friend

During a playdate this past weekend, I took some pictures of one of my little boy's friends. She was born on the exact same day, in the exact same hospital and delivered by the exact same nurse as he was! So, they have been friends since birth. :o) She is such a cutie and once she smiled for me, she wouldn't stop!

He loves photos!

Ok...not really...he actually refuses to smile for the camera. But I still think he's the cutest thing ever (ok, so I am probably biased) and I can't resist taking photos of him. He is, of course, my favorite subject! More of him to come!

Gorgeous Little Girl!

This adorable baby was only one week old when I took her photos 3 weeks ago! Isn't she gorgeous? She was absolutely easy and slept the entire time. I was lucky enough to see her this weekend - she was so alert and showed off her pretty blue eyes. Can't wait to take more pictures of her!

I remember when she was just a year old...and now she's in high school! It's amazing how quickly 16 years can just fly by!
